Our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence division consists of a robust team of legal professionals, each managing their own caseloads while ensuring that client needs remain the top priority. We handle a diverse range of high-value cases, providing our lawyers with the opportunity to gain comprehensive experience across various types of claims.

This role offers a unique chance to engage with a variety of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence matters, including but not limited to: Employers Liability, Public Liability, Road Traffic Accidents, and Clinical Negligence claims. This diversity will help you develop into a well-rounded legal practitioner.

We value the role of support staff in our firm, recognizing that strong administrative support is essential for our lawyers to focus on their legal work.

Our compensation structure includes a competitive bonus scheme, rewarding individual contributions with 20% of any fees generated above set targets.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Collaborating with the existing Claimant Personal Injury team while managing your own caseload.
  • Handling both new and ongoing claims, including litigated cases.
  • Meeting clients and potential witnesses in person.
  • Attending court proceedings as necessary.
  • Coordinating with barristers, medical experts, and other professionals to support each claim.
  • Preparing and drafting necessary legal documents, briefs, and schedules.
  • Assessing claims and engaging in settlement negotiations.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a target-driven legal environment is advantageous.
  • A proven history of managing high-value claims and achieving strong billing results.
  • Familiarity with Conditional Fee Agreements.
  • Experience with both pre-litigated and litigated claims.
  • Knowledge of the Ministry of Justice portal.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • The capability to produce high-quality work consistently.
  • Good commercial awareness and IT proficiency.
  • Strong client care abilities.
