The primary mission of Integrated Transport Services is to deliver exceptional transport solutions that align with the County Council's Corporate Objectives and commitment to 'sustaining excellence'.

This role offers a pro rata rate of £12.00 per hour, with a commitment of 15 hours per week during Term Time, involving split shift responsibilities.

The selected candidates will be picked up from their residences by a private hire taxi. They will then collect students from their homes and accompany them to school. The same process will occur in the afternoon for their return journey. Drop-off will be back at their homes. Typical shift hours are approximately 7:45 AM to 9:15 AM in the morning and 2:45 PM to 4:15 PM in the afternoon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the safe transportation of young and elderly passengers, ensuring their well-being and dignity are maintained.
  • Provide care-related duties associated with transport services, including helping passengers prepare for their journey and ensuring their safety and comfort during transit.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality service.
  • Operate the vehicle's tailgate-lift during the boarding and alighting of passengers who use wheelchairs, following established protocols.
  • Ensure the proper application of wheelchair clamps, straps, and other specialized equipment.
  • Adhere to all communication and operational guidelines issued by the service.
  • Complete necessary documentation as required by Integrated Transport procedures.
