Job Description

**Job Title:** Manufacturing Engineer - Equipment Acquisition Specialist

**Job Summary:** Morson Talent is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team as an Equipment Acquisition Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing the site manufacturing plant and equipment investment for the NGMS Project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize the site manufacturing plant and equipment investment for the NGMS Project requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver legally compliant business cases pertaining to site plant and equipment.
  • Prepare and control/issue technical requirements specifications, scopes of work, evaluation of tender returns, and contract placements for outsourced works.
  • Generate and evaluate work packet related Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits to Work, Contractor Competency Assessment, and Work Control.
  • Maintain and update competency skill matrix and personnel development.
  • Conduct COSHH Hazard & Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure operational capability and long-term reliability of supporting plant and equipment for the site.
  • Comply with national and international standards and legislation.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge in manufacturing in a high-hazard environment.
  • Experience of high-hazard environments; familiar with HAZOP, COMAH, DSEAR, PUWER, SIL, MSER, and other regulations and standards.
  • IOSH Managing Safety/NEBOSH Certificate.
  • Experience of Contractor Management.
  • Familiarity with the Life Cycle Management (LCM) process.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and liaise with other teams.
  • Understand business management framework.
  • Lead and sign off work to meet business case applications.
  • Good leadership and organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Understand operational priorities and liaise with engineering and production management to prioritize tasks.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • HND/HNC in a relevant field.

Security Clearance:

The role will require candidates to secure UK Security Clearance.

Salary:

The rate for this position is £33.00 PAYE or £42.90 Umbrella.
