Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at Legal & General Group. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and driving our environmental initiatives and strategy across our London location project.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Environmental Strategy Development

Develop and implement our environmental strategy across the Legal & General Group, with a particular focus on our London location project. This will involve working closely with our project team, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure that our environmental ambitions are met.

Environmental Data Analysis

Conduct data-driven environmental analysis, research, and management to inform our sustainability strategy and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and certifications.

Stakeholder Engagement

Provide advice and guidance to our stakeholders on environmental topics, including sustainable procurement, energy and waste management, and biodiversity.

Regulatory Compliance

Monitor and assess regulatory developments related to the built environment and ensure that our organization complies with current and future regulations.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with our project team, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration on environmental initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  1. Experience

Proven experience in environmental sustainability management, with a focus on built environment projects.

Knowledge and Skills

Deep understanding of environmental impacts and opportunities linked to building fit-out and subsequent operations, including material specifications and energy management options.

Education and Qualifications

Relevant degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
