Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant - SEN Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mainstream primary school in Bournemouth. As a SEN Specialist, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils with diverse needs, including those with EHCPs, additional behavioural needs, and SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support to access learning and engage with peers
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as needed
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or adults with SEN
  • Ability to work 1:1 with a pupil, providing tailored support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply
