About You

Collaborating with an Optical Manager (a qualified Dispensing Optician), you will play a crucial role in fostering an environment that emphasizes both clinical and operational excellence. By working closely with the broader department team, you will assist in coaching, training, and developing new patient services to ensure we provide the most current and accessible options for our customers.
Key Qualifications:
- A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
- A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
- MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – supported by us)
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
- Capable of utilizing your skills and enthusiasm for the role to deliver an outstanding customer experience
- Committed to developing new patient services and influencing the department's culture
When applying for any Optical positions, registration with the General Optical Council (GOC) is required for the relevant professional role type. Additionally, evidence of Right To Work in the UK will be necessary.
As part of the compliance process, you will need to provide evidence of being on the NHS performer list for your region, along with two clinical references.
