CNC Wood Machinist - Manufacturing Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Wood Machinist to join our team at Jackie Kerr Recruitment Ltd. As a CNC Wood Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC wood machines, ensuring high-quality production and meeting customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Operate CNC wood machines to produce high-quality wood components, following technical drawings and specifications.
• Material Handling: Load raw materials onto machines, ensuring efficient production and minimizing waste.
• Maintenance and Repair: Perform basic maintenance on machinery, troubleshooting and resolving issues to maintain optimal production levels.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, making adjustments as needed.
• Health and Safety: Uphold health and safety requirements, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience in programming and running CNC machinery, with a background in the wood industry.
• Skills: Ability to read and work from engineering drawings, experience in working within a fast-paced environment, and a Full UK License with access to own transport.

Working Hours and Benefits:

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
• Holidays: 21 days holiday (increasing 1 day per year to a maximum of 26 days).
