About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Rock and Pop Music Educator to join our team at iRock School of Music in Guildford. As a Band Coach, you will be responsible for delivering engaging rock and pop band sessions to children across multiple schools in the area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Music Education: Teach groups of children across up to 10 primary schools per week, providing a fun and interactive learning experience.
  • Multi-Instrumental Instruction: Teach drums, keyboard, guitar, and vocals within a band setting, with proficiency in at least two instruments required.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Develop strong connections with students, parents, schools, and the broader community, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Facilitate Performances: Guide students as they prepare for and perform in their first live shows, promoting confidence and self-expression.
  • Manage Administrative Tasks: Complete daily administrative duties, approximately 30 minutes per day, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Student Certification: Assist students in achieving entry-level music qualifications within the RSL framework, recognizing their musical progress.
  • Active Engagement: Take on a physically active role, including setting up and breaking down musical equipment for each session, ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment.

Requirements
