Role Overview
As part of our strategic workforce planning, we are actively seeking candidates for several Automation Engineering Specialist roles within our Engineering Department. This position is crucial to our operations, providing essential engineering support to our manufacturing processes.
In this capacity, you will play a vital role in our team, addressing equipment malfunctions and ensuring optimal functionality of our production lines. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues, implementing design modifications, and enhancing plant machinery while complying with established software management protocols.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship and qualifications at HNC level or higher in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation engineering.
- Professional Experience: Extensive experience in a comparable role within a manufacturing setting.
- Essential Skills:
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley Control/Compact Logix or Siemens S7 PLCs is mandatory.
- Experience with AC or DC Inverter drives, including fault diagnosis, commissioning, and programming.
- Strong instrumentation skills, particularly in maintaining and troubleshooting control loops.
- Familiarity with SCADA and HMI development.
- Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
