Oracle PL/SQL Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team in Surrey. As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you will be working on a large-scale project that is an industry mandatory requirement.

The role is varied and interesting, and you will be working within a small and friendly team but very much part of a wider Development and Support team. You will be responsible for migrating legacy code, designing new code and interfaces, and ensuring that all code is of high quality and meets the required standards.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in Oracle PL/SQL development, with experience in code design, database design, and data analysis. You should be familiar with concepts and best practices, and have a strong attention to detail. You will be a great problem solver, enjoy working collaboratively, and have a passion for data and data analysis.

The role is based at Head Office with local parking and a short walk to a train station. There is hybrid working on offer, two days in the office and three days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Migrate legacy code to new systems
  • Design new code and interfaces
  • Ensure high-quality code and adherence to standards
  • Work collaboratively with the Development and Support team
  • Contribute to the development of new projects and initiatives
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years' experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer
  • Experience in code design and database design
  • Familiar with concepts and best practices
  • Ideally Degree educated
  • Strong communicator verbally and written
  • Experience of creating relational databases
  • Experience of designing new code and new interfaces
  • Experience of writing clear documentation
