About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Manager to join our team at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing our Fleet Management's risk management strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective risk management tools and processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks affecting our fleet's safe operation.
  2. Lead on the development and maintenance of the Fleet Management risk register to manage risk relating to the fleet's safe operation.
  3. Continually review and identify risks and opportunities affecting our fleet internally and externally, monitor and alert management on developing risks to the fleet worldwide.
  4. Provide leadership and act as the subject matter expert for risk management within Fleet Management.
  5. Identify training needs and provide coaching to develop Fleet Management and key partners' capability to manage risk.
  6. Develop and maintain Fleet Management processes for KPI monitoring and tracking to improve fleet standards and performance, including risk profiling.
  7. Interact with key partners to ensure that the Fleet Management risk strategy is coordinated within the ecosystem.
  8. Develop and implement effective risk reporting processes to give oversight of risk exposure relating to the fleet's safe operation.
  9. Champion a digital mindset for all opportunities and in developing all tools and reporting requirements.
  10. Travel will be required in this role.
  11. Other tasks as required by the business related to experience and role.
Requirements
  • University degree in fields of study associated with a risk management role, preferably from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum five years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a shipping-related business.
  • Experienced in identifying risks according to ISO 31000 standard.
  • Digital management/platform awareness/openness.
  • Proficient in decision-making based on data analysis and statistics.
