Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to become part of a prominent company in the aerospace sector, focusing on innovative space and satellite projects. Your contributions will be pivotal in advancing the next generation of computing technologies within the aerospace domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete software lifecycle for satellite communication and signal processing systems.
  • Establish system designs and software frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and communication technologies.
  • Offer mentorship and support to junior engineers within the team.
  • Execute testing, validation, and verification of software tailored for space applications.
  • Diagnose and rectify software-related challenges.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years in embedded systems software development.
  • Experience in satellite communication technologies.
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Software Defined Radios (SDRs), and FPGA programming.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards.
  • Experience with embedded Linux environments.
  • Proficient in software stack management and Yocto/Buildroot.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with signal processing algorithms and RF frontend design.
  • Understanding of 5G waveforms, DVB-S2X, CCSDS modems, DPDK, and VPP L2/L3 processing.
  • Familiarity with ARM processor architectures.
  • Experience in new board bring-up and Board Support Package (BSP) development.
  • Knowledge of Xilinx toolchains.
  • Experience in Linux Kernel software development.
