Consultant Adult Psychiatrist with Community Focus

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist with a focus on community-based care, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality perinatal mental health services to our patients.
Main Responsibilities- Lead on quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation projects in partnership with the service manager
- Provide clinical leadership for the multidisciplinary team, including direct clinical assessments, consultations, risk assessments, and care plans
- Clinical supervision of specialty doctors working with the team
- Responsible Clinician duties
- Regular clinical liaison with community mental health teams, families, and carers
Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust has established a high-quality multidisciplinary community and liaison perinatal mental health service across five London Boroughs. Our Perinatal Mental Health Service (PMHS) comprises specialist multidisciplinary perinatal mental health teams serving five boroughs, enabling the delivery of evidence-based perinatal mental health care through a coordinated multidisciplinary specialist approach across maternity, primary, and secondary care, tertiary specialist services, social care, and the voluntary sector.

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with the following qualifications and experience:
- Medical Degree (MB BS or equivalent medical qualification)
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
