Job Title: Haematology / Oncology Nurse Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced nurse to join our team as a Haematology / Oncology Nurse Specialist. This role will involve working closely with the cardio-oncology multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to adults with cancer who have or are at risk of cardiovascular complications.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Review patients on the wards, formulate clinical management plans, and coordinate cardiac investigations.
  • Run outpatient clinics alongside a consultant and registrar.
  • Act independently/autonomously within the cardio-oncology team to manage a caseload, guided by best practice, trust policies, and national/European guidelines.
  • Provide cross-cover across the cardiology specialism to support services.
Person Specification:
  • Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience in the same specialty.
  • Significant relevant post-registration experience in the same specialty.
  • Honours Degree in Nursing, midwifery, research, or ethics.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Completed or completing a Masters Degree.
  • Non-medical Independent and supplementary Prescribing Masters Level 7 experience in the same specialty.
  • Leadership development programme.
  • Management development programme.
