Senior Planner Role

VGC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our team in the South East area. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining an overview of all planning and programme activities for multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project timelines, track progress, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders using planning software such as P6 Primavera and ASTA Powerproject.
  • Support the Project Manager in all planning and programme-related tasks, developing and refining project methodologies to ensure successful project execution.
  • Promote and implement 'best value' design solutions to add value to projects and ensure cost-effective, efficient outcomes.
  • Identify risks and implement schedule adjustments as necessary to maintain project delivery within agreed timelines, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Project Planning & Scheduling Expertise: Proficient in creating, managing, and monitoring project schedules using planning tools such as P6 Primavera and ASTA Powerproject.
  • Risk Management: Skilled in identifying potential risks and challenges within project timelines and developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze project data, timelines, and resources to optimize planning and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide clear project updates to stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing project details, ensuring all aspects of the planning and scheduling process are accurate, and aligned with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

The successful Senior Planner will receive a salary of up to £85,000 per annum plus additional benefits.
