Senior ERM Risk Analyst

Our client, a leading and established player in the insurance industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior ERM Risk Analyst to join their Enterprise Risk Management Team (ERM). With ambitious growth plans for the future, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Lloyd's syndicate insurer poised for expansion.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in ERM within non-life insurance markets, including proficiency in OSRA assessments as per Solvency II regulations.

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to support the Enterprise Risk Management team in the development and maintenance of an effective risk management framework across the expanding organization, ensuring a culture of risk awareness is embedded.

  • Develop and integrate all components of the risk management framework with the ERM Risk Manager.
  • Organize and oversee the gathering of data for the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) report, and assist in its finalization.
  • Manage the quarterly risk and control self-assessment process, including compiling and testing controls and supporting workshops with Risk and Control Owners.
  • Facilitate the reporting of Risk Incidents and maintain the Risk Incident Register, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Provide support for in-depth examinations conducted by the Enterprise Risk Management function.
  • Assist in identifying, analyzing, and reporting new and emerging risks.
  • Contribute to the production of risk management reports for internal Committees and Board(s).
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders, including Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Operations, and Finance teams, on behalf of Risk, ensuring comprehension, review, and challenge of ORSA requirements within the enterprise risk management framework.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • A proven track record of implementing and embedding Enterprise Risk Management frameworks.
  • Prior Insurance industry experience within non-life markets.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, to articulate key messages to stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply initiative and lead tasks.
