Join Our Team as a Senior Economist

At Ecorys, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Economist to join our team. As a Senior Economist, you will play a key role in designing and implementing technical elements of large-scale research and evaluation projects. Your work will focus on assessing the feasibility and appropriateness of different research designs, sampling, data collection, and data analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement research and evaluation projects, including assessing the feasibility and appropriateness of different research designs
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting, including cost-benefit analysis and value-for-money assessments
  • Develop and deliver quantitative/economic research or evaluations for economic and social policy interventions
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored research solutions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement project plans and timelines
Requirements:
  • First degree in a relevant subject (e.g. economics, data science, maths, or social policy with a strong quantitative focus) and post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject
  • Demonstrable experience in the development and delivery of quantitative/economic research or evaluations for economic and social policy interventions
  • Strong, applied quantitative/economics research skills, including experience of designing, collecting/accessing and analysing quantitative data
  • Good proficiency of MS Office suite and quantitative analysis software (e.g. R, SPSS, Stata)
