Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Child Care Solicitor to join our Child Care Department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in child care law and will be responsible for providing expert advice and representation to clients in all aspects of child care law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and representation to clients in all aspects of child care law, including child abduction, child protection issues, special guardianship, and adoption matters.
  • Assist with the delivery of training and development programs in the department.
  • Deal with a range of public and private children cases, including child abduction, child protection issues, special guardianship, and adoption matters.
  • Undertake own advocacy and represent clients in court.
  • Registered with the Law Society and Children Panel Membership is desirable.
  • Previous proven supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills with the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business.
  • Working knowledge of the publicly funded Child Care work and have the ability to service privately funded cases.
  • Have extensive experience in dealing with all Child Care work related work and some expertise on adoption matters.
  • Experience in own advocacy is an advantage.
  • Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in child care law.
  • Proven track record of success in child care law.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Registered with the Law Society and Children Panel Membership is desirable.
