This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to 'earn while you learn,' gaining practical experience while pursuing a Level 3 qualification. You will receive structured training to cultivate essential skills, knowledge, and professional behaviors necessary for your career, all while being part of a supportive team.

With 20% of your working hours dedicated to training, you will be guided by your line manager, skills coach, and the broader service management community, along with fellow apprentices, ensuring you have ample support to thrive. Be prepared to be proactive, dedicated, and engaged in the numerous opportunities to demonstrate your capabilities.

Some travel to various digital hubs may be necessary as part of this role.

Important Note: This position requires successful completion of security clearance.

Role Responsibilities

As an apprentice Service Manager, you will engage in various critical service management functions, including:

  • Reporting and Incident Management: Collaborate with Operations to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Change and Problem Management: Work on managing services to meet agreed performance targets.

You will be assigned to one of the following teams:

  • Fraud or Debt Live Support Teams: Support IT services utilized by Counter Fraud Compliance & Debt, ensuring the quality and availability of crucial digital products and services.
  • Data & Analytics: Gain insights into IT Services, managing Technical Debt, Incident, Change, and Problem Management, along with other vital functions.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Possess a valid passport, birth certificate, or residence permit.
  • Have the legal right to live and work in the UK.
  • Must have resided in the UK and/or EEA for three years prior to the apprenticeship start date or hold refugee status.
  • Not be enrolled in full-time education or another apprenticeship at the start date.
  • Must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar field.
  • Hold GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above or successfully complete a functional skills test.

Commitment to the Program

We expect candidates to be dedicated to completing the apprenticeship and obtaining the qualification.

Work Hours

If applying on a part-time basis, a minimum of 30 hours per week is required, as this role combines work and study.
