At SoCode Limited, we're pioneering a new approach to food production that harnesses the power of plants to create a more sustainable future. As a Plant Scientist, you'll play a key role in developing cutting-edge plant transformation pipelines that minimize the impact of agriculture on the planet.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to experimental design, plant regeneration, and transformation processes to create high-value animal proteins and pigments without relying on animals.
- Propagate and care for plants in our state-of-the-art greenhouse, ensuring optimal growing conditions and quality control.
- Oversee greenhouse trials from planting to harvesting, ensuring proper trial management and quality control.
- Conduct seed purity testing and design field trials to optimize plant performance.
- MSc/PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in plant transformation.
- Strong expertise in plant tissue culture.
