About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Trainer to join our team at SEA. As a key member of our Maritime Support and Services Business Area, you will be responsible for managing a small team of instructors and delivering training to our customers in the UK and abroad.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of internal instructors and deliver internal instructor training
  • Coach and mentor internal instructors to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality training
  • Liaise with Training Designers and Courseware developers to deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of our customers
  • Manage the SEA training facility and coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, venue selection, and resource allocation
  • Utilise various training methodologies and techniques to accommodate different learning styles, media, and skill levels
  • Deliver training sessions in person and virtually, and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and gather feedback
  • Stay current with training trends and best practices, and liaise with customers, sub-contractors, and subject matter experts as required

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Trainer with a track record of delivering successful training programs and holds a recognised training qualification, civilian or military and or technical training
  • Proficient in various training methodologies and techniques, including face-to-face, e-learning platforms, blended learning, and virtual training tools
  • Familiar with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) processes would be ideal
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of trainers
  • Act with a high degree of professionalism and dedication, modelling the core values of the company
