About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Team Manager to lead our Family Support and Safeguarding Teams in North Somerset. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our family support and safeguarding services, including assessment and support for children in need, child protection, pre-proceedings, care proceedings, and adoption work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of social workers and family support workers to provide high-quality services to children, young people, and their families.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve services and outcomes for children and families.
  • Collaborate with other teams and agencies to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to family support and safeguarding.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to social workers and family support workers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent services.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that our services meet the highest standards.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Team Manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality services to children, young people, and their families. You will have a strong background in social work, experience of managing and leading teams, and a proven track record of improving services and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Social work qualification and experience of working in a social work setting.
  • Experience of managing and leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and agencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
