Early Years Leader Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Leader to join our team at Ultimate Activity Camps. As an Early Years Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of our Early Years programme, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for our young campers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a fun and engaging programme for our Ultimate Juniors, ensuring all EYFS requirements are met.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality sports, arts & crafts, and games for our 4- and 5-year-olds, focusing on participation, development, and enjoyment.
  • Direct and support a small team of Early Years staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Ensure Ofsted requirements are always met, liaising directly with inspectors as needed.
  • Be the main point of contact for parents and guardians, providing regular updates and feedback.
  • Manage administrative duties for the Juniors, including sign-in/out and registration.
  • Liaise with the Camp Manager to promote the welfare of our campers and ensure a positive experience.
  • Supervise and engage with campers outside of activity times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality childcare, meeting the needs of individual children from diverse backgrounds and stages of development.
  • Live up to the Ultimate Activity Camp promise of 'Inspiring Children Every Day' and embody the company's values throughout your employment.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a minimum of Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare or Primary Education, with significant experience working with 4- and 5-year-olds.
  • Experience of working with children and delivering activities, with the ability to tailor delivery and structure according to age and ability.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and passion for working with children through play and activity.
  • Good organisation and communication skills, with the ability to lead a group of children and take responsibility.
  • Good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and its application in a camp setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with great face-to-face customer service skills.
  • A proactive and conscientious team player, able to adapt to dynamic situations and challenges on camp.
