Position Overview

In the role of Lead Clinical Specialist - Genomic Diagnostics, you will leverage your expertise to guide critical initiatives internally and shape the broader landscape at both national and international levels, enhancing our contributions to participant and patient outcomes.

The main objective of this position is to collaborate closely with the Genomic Medicine Service, providing strategic advice to the leadership team and assisting various squads in the planning, development, and launch of safe, thoroughly researched cancer-related products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical leadership and specialized knowledge in the design and implementation of our services and programs.
  • Assist senior executives in interactions with advisory committees and the Participants Panel.
  • Provide clinical guidance to the management team, including navigating complex discussions with research participants and addressing inquiries, complaints, and clinical incidents.
  • Contribute clinical insights for safety and risk management frameworks.
  • Represent the organization at national and international conferences, meetings, and collaborative groups.
  • Serve as the clinical liaison with external organizations.
  • Support executive leadership in fostering collaborations between our organization and healthcare partners.
  • Identify and advocate for priorities that are significant to patients and clinicians.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to communicate and promote organizational initiatives.
  • Lead clinical input in the evolution of research strategies and coordination, developing processes to support research stakeholders.

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic clinician with extensive experience in developing cancer pathways within the healthcare system. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge and passion for advancing germline cancer genomics and healthcare informatics, along with a proven track record in clinical leadership.

This role may be considered on a secondee basis, and we are open to flexible arrangements.

Qualifications:
Medical degree; CCT in Genetics or equivalent.

Salary from: £93,500
