Role Overview
The Civil Engineering Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing site operations and guiding junior engineers in the Chipping Warden area. This position is essential for ensuring the successful execution of civil engineering tasks associated with the high-speed rail link project.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor junior engineering staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with the setting-out team to ensure precise execution of engineering tasks.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges on-site in coordination with senior team members and the Sub-Agent.
- Monitor and manage subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure the team has access to up-to-date information and resources necessary for their roles.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules, progress reports, resource allocation plans, and financial forecasts.
Qualifications
- HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering or equivalent, with a focus on achieving membership in a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE).
- Valid CSCS card (White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager, or Gold - Supervisor).
- Proven experience in highways or structural projects is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of site engineering activities, along with construction supervision capabilities.
