Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver 7.5t to join our team at PROMAN Recruitment. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for delivering catering supplies to business properties in and around the Manchester area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Vehicle Condition: Ensure that the Company vehicle allocated is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting appropriate checks and reporting any faults immediately.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading assembled orders onto the vehicle, ensuring that the payload is within the limits for the vehicle and that the permissible axle weights are not exceeded.
  • Delivery and Route Planning: Ensure all scheduled deliveries are completed on time, in full, on a daily basis, utilizing the relevant route planning tools.
  • Customer Service: Deliver to customers as directed, assist with unloading and taking to the final delivery point as requested, and report any problems with delivery sites.
  • Administrative Tasks: Ensure that all POD paperwork is correct and authorized, and present a professional image to the customer at all times.
Requirements:
  • Valid 7.5t License: Possess a valid 7.5t license and a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Have previous experience as a Van Driver, preferably in the logistics and transportation industry.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
