Job Title: Recycling Plant Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recycling Plant Operator to join our team at AWD online. As a Recycling Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating a range of machinery and equipment to ensure the efficient processing of recycled materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) to load and unload materials
  • Perform bulk handling tasks using a JCB, such as bucket work and operation of screeners/shredders
  • Operate machinery to oversee the recycling process, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high-quality output
  • Maintain general housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment, adhering strictly to all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Assist with other duties as needed, collaborating with colleagues to achieve production targets and maintain a high standard of work

Requirements:

  • Must have Fork Lift and Telehandler License. Holding a JCB handling license is desirable but not essential
  • Proficient in bulk handling techniques, with previous experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment preferred
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects within set timeframes while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively and professionally with colleagues with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility with work schedules and ability to work all shift patterns to support production demands and operational requirements
