The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advising and supporting clients to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and related secondary legislation.
This role primarily involves providing guidance to statutory duty holders concerning both new and existing buildings classified as Higher Risk Buildings throughout the design, construction, and occupancy phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver projects that meet quality standards and contribute to business growth.
- Serve as an expert reference on legislative and procedural matters related to the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Conduct briefings for project teams on the requirements of the BSA 2022 and their associated duties.
- Support clients during design team meetings and identify potential compliance risks.
- Review and advise on building control approvals and completion certifications.
- Collaborate with the Building Control team to ensure timely compliance reviews.
- Escalate issues to the Director of Assurance Services as necessary.
- Assess client needs and develop proposals for Assurance Services.
The ideal candidate will possess accredited RICS/CABE/CIOB/RIBA status and have extensive post-qualification experience in the built environment, particularly with Higher Risk Buildings.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to apply legislative and regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance.
- Capability to evaluate personal and organizational competencies and seek assistance when needed.
- Integrity in conducting thorough due diligence reviews.
- Understanding of technical guidance and standards governing building design and construction compliance.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- High level of commercial awareness.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities with stakeholders.
