Job Title: Analysis Specialist - Nuclear Decommissioning

Job Type: Contract

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to client sites)

Duration: 12-24 months

Rate: £75.00 per hour (Umbrella - Inside IR35)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Analysis Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in scientific analysis, particularly in the field of nuclear decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct radiological sampling and analysis to support nuclear decommissioning projects
  • Develop and implement sampling plans and methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Provide expert advice on radiological sampling technical requirements and DQO methodology
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Requirements:

  • Degree in a scientific or engineering-based subject and/or relevant experience in the field of nuclear decommissioning
  • Knowledge of radiological sampling technical requirements, including DQO methodology and sampling plans
  • Practical knowledge of the characterisation lifecycle, including sampling methods, preservation of radionuclides, and storage and data requirements
  • Able to obtain SC clearance

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of characterisation for non-radiological contaminants, including asbestos
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills to meet changing project needs and deadlines
  • Ability to interpret and critically evaluate Health Physics data
