Marketing Associate Job Description

NJR Recruitment is partnering with a leading firm of Pension specialists to find a talented Marketing Associate to join their team in Salisbury or Wimbledon on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organise and manage a programme of hosted events, from inception to follow-up, ensuring smooth execution and representing the firm.
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Distribution to prepare various materials to support marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in technical and team functions to keep up-to-date client and internal proposition forms and documentation.
  • Execute marketing campaigns via the website, Google ads, and social media channels, ensuring SEO objectives are met.
  • Manage the firm's HubSpot marketing email account, including template creation, mailing data management, and email marketing campaign setup and tracking.
  • Provide ad-hoc marketing support and activities as required to facilitate the smooth running of the department.
  • Deliver monthly reports to the Director of Marketing and Distribution.
Requirements:
  • Ability to think creatively and generate new marketing campaigns, with design experience desirable.
  • Preferably educated to degree level in business or marketing-related areas.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to research and quickly understand the latest trends and best practices in marketing.
  • Highly organised, with excellent project management skills and time management.
  • Excellent command of the English language and communication skills.
  • Professional attitude, hardworking, and team player.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and flexibility.
  • Sound working knowledge of various applications, including WordPress, HubSpot, SEO platform (Semrush), Canva, and Adobe packages.
  • Practical knowledge of LinkedIn and GDPR requirements.
  • Car owner/driving license is essential.
  • Requirement for some UK travel, including occasional overnight hotel stays.

This role would suit a candidate with a minimum of 2-3 years of marketing experience, ideally within the financial services sector.
