We are seeking a part-time Caretaker to join our dedicated team, working 2.30pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
About the RoleHighfield School is an 11-19 secondary school for pupils with severe learning difficulties. Our pupils have a wide range of additional needs, including speech, language and communication difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions, more complex learning needs, physical disabilities, and some have rare genetic disorders.
As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the school site, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and in good repair. You will work proactively to promote and ensure the health and safety of pupils, staff, and visitors at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of a team and work on your own initiative
- Keep the school site clean, tidy, and in a good state of repair
- Promote and ensure the health and safety of pupils, staff, and visitors
- Comply with and record regular site/equipment inspections
- Work flexibly to accommodate lettings
- Communicate with pupils, colleagues, and school visitors
