Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Identity Architect to join our team at Syntax Consultancy. As a key member of our Identity and Access Management (IDM/IAM) team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale identity architecture solutions for our clients in the Central Government and GOV.UK sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver complex identity and access management architecture solutions for large-scale IT modernization programs.
  • Lead the technical design of systems and services, communicating design decisions and resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Assimilate vendor product integration requirements and make technical design and technical decisions for both off-the-shelf and custom Java components.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to ensure secure and efficient identity architecture solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong Identity & Access Management domain experience, including authentication protocols, OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, and account life cycles.
  • Java application stacks, REST APIs, Linux Virtual Server environments, Cloud (AWS/Azure), IP Networking, DNS certificates, port configuration, and Firewalls.
  • Technical governance and assurance for digital identity architecture solutions.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, BDD, TDD, and Kanban methodologies.
