Job Title: Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at UNITED RECRUITMENT SYSTEM LTD. Our clients are Care Homes, Hotels, and Restaurants, all based in Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality food for cooking, adhering to industry standards and menu requirements.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the Sous Chef to create new recipes, review menus, and conduct inventory management.
  • Inventory and Budgeting: Manage kitchen inventory, adhere to budget set by the Restaurant Manager, and order food supplies as needed.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring they meet industry standards and company expectations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food production, maintain high standards of quality, and ensure sanitation practices are followed.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, resolve vendor issues promptly, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Working Hours: Shifts start at 8:00 am and finish at 6:00 pm.
