We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our most complex project to date, a £30M in-land marine project that will protect a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
This is a highly innovative and challenging project that requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and experience in delivering large-scale projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects, working under the NEC form of contract, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The project will involve the construction of four cofferdams, installation of 1000m of sheet piling, and drainage diversion works. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, be a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), and have experience in delivering marine/river/wet civil engineering projects with values over £20M.
We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £90,000 per annum, a £8,000 car allowance, paid travel, matched contribution pension, accommodation, subsistence, profit share bonus, and 25 days holiday. We are committed to promoting an inclusive environment for our clients and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project team to deliver the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and implement project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Manage and mitigate project risks, including technical, commercial, and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale civil engineering projects, including marine/river/wet projects.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
