About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at McLaren Racing. As a key member of our additive manufacturing department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality components on time and in full.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare machines for builds, conduct calibrations, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Process complete component platforms through automated wash machines and ultrasonics, and prepare components for hand finishing.
  3. Hand finish components to exacting standards using technical drawings or CAD annotations.
  4. Conduct fundamental inspection of all components before dispatch to the next operation.
  5. Dispatch car components and kitted aero programmes using departmental MRP software.
  6. Evaluate the assigned schedule and communicate potential delays to the Shift Lead(s) to ensure timely delivery.
  7. Identify build faults, contain and inform the programmers and/or Shift Lead(s).
  8. Work efficiently within manufacturing as part of an established team.
Requirements
  1. Knowledge of various additive manufacturing technologies, including SLA, SLS, FDM, Polyjet, and post-processing techniques.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office products, Materialise Magics, and MRP systems.
