Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will:
- Lead and mentor teams in strategic testing methodologies and quality engineering practices
- Guide testers and quality engineers in developing test strategies, planning, and implementing automated test suites to fulfill acceptance criteria for both functional and non-functional product assurance
- Oversee quality metrics and enhance quality practices and processes
- Continuously explore new testing and quality engineering technologies, applying them to your work and supporting teams as a subject matter expert
- Analyze technical, functional, and business requirements to identify challenges and opportunities, ensuring recommendations align with strategic objectives
- Participate in early architecture and design reviews of new features, influencing quality, testability, and adherence to specifications
- Evaluate non-functional requirements and lead the design of performance tests, accurately simulating real-world scenarios and user behaviors. Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks and improvement areas
- Supervise Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) conducted by teams, ensuring all systems meet operational standards and are ready for production deployment
Candidate Profile
We seek individuals who:
- Have experience leading testing (both functional and non-functional) across multiple teams throughout the project lifecycle, from understanding business needs to production delivery, including technical leadership, strategy development, test generation, reporting, defect management, and user/operational acceptance testing
- Demonstrate a proven ability to guide teams in implementing automated testing approaches for Mobile, Web UI, and API, driving quality enhancements
- Possess expertise in leading non-functional testing, including Performance, Accessibility, and Compatibility testing, with proficiency in various test types, tools, and standards
- Are adaptable team players who excel in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment, advocating for and implementing shift-left principles
- Have a strong understanding of production testing, observability, and real usage monitoring, with the capability to implement risk-based testing strategies that ensure system reliability and provide actionable insights into user behavior
