We are collaborating with a prominent NHS Trust seeking an Interim Senior Transformation Manager for a Fixed Term Contract of 4-6 months.
This position is classified at AfC Band 8b/8c, depending on qualifications, and offers a hybrid working model that includes both onsite and remote responsibilities.
The Trust is committed to an ambitious transformation agenda and is in search of a highly skilled and credible leader in transformation.
The successful candidate will oversee a diverse portfolio of programmes aimed at enhancing service delivery, achieving financial efficiencies, and driving continuous improvements in quality and safety.
The role requires adept management of multiple programmes concurrently, engaging with various stakeholders within the Trust and across the Integrated Care Systems to facilitate comprehensive transformation of care pathways.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to cultivate positive relationships while maintaining a structured and determined approach to prioritizing transformation initiatives, ensuring the successful delivery of agreed outcomes and fostering active participation from key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and articulate programme goals, objectives, and success metrics;
- Develop and execute a detailed programme roadmap, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation;
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Trust's vision and strategic objectives;
- Establish robust governance frameworks to monitor programme progress, manage risks, and facilitate timely decision-making;
- Define governance structures, including steering and working groups, and clarify roles and responsibilities within each programme;
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and service improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness;
- Drive the achievement of programme objectives while adhering to quality and safety standards within the established budget and timelines;
- Monitor progress against deliverables and enable prompt decision-making to keep all programmes on track;
- Engage with stakeholders at various levels, including the Executive Board and Senior Leadership team, to ensure collaboration and support;
- Develop and implement effective change management strategies to promote enthusiasm and smooth adoption of changes;
- Lead the Trust's Continuous Quality Improvement team, fostering a culture of ongoing improvement and best practice implementation;
- Manage a diverse team across multidisciplinary areas, overseeing project and programme management.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in a similar role, with a background in major transformational change programmes;
- Prince2 or equivalent project/programme management certification;
- Extensive experience in leading remote and virtual teams, with a focus on change delivery and matrix working;
- Strong leadership skills to motivate stakeholders and experience in high-level decision-making;
- In-depth expertise developed through substantial experience in senior roles managing multiple programmes or change initiatives;
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives in healthcare or commercial sectors.
