Early Years Group Leader Position

Barracudas Activity Day Camps is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Group Leader to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of our young campers, while also delivering engaging and educational activities that promote their development and growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to provide a high-quality learning experience for our campers.
- Set up and maintain a safe and inviting base room area that encourages children to explore and learn.
- Follow established policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all campers.
- Deliver a variety of activities and sessions that cater to the needs and interests of our campers, while also promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our campers.
- Act as a key worker for a group of campers, building strong relationships and communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
- Ensure the needs of all campers are met, including those with additional needs or medical conditions.
- Use resources and materials effectively to plan and deliver engaging and educational activities.
- Encourage maximum participation and engagement from all campers, while also promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
- Take responsibility for the general welfare and safeguarding of all campers, including reporting any concerns to senior staff.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and materials, and follow all health and safety protocols.
- Relevant childcare qualification or experience.
- Knowledge and experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with parents and guardians.
- Enthusiasm, caring, and organized with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable challenges and situations.
- Enhanced DBS check and ability to work in the UK.
- Ensure the company fulfills all health and safety obligations.
- Deliver activities that are appropriate for the age and needs of our campers.
- Encourage campers to participate in new activities and follow the activity timetable.
- Ensure campers behave in a safe manner and respect their individual needs.
- Follow all camp systems, including registration and collection procedures, health and safety systems, and guidelines on good practice in child welfare.
- Be a positive role model and promote a healthy lifestyle and good hygiene practices.
- Report any concerns regarding child protection to senior staff.
- Make reasonable adjustments to accommodate the needs of campers with additional needs or medical conditions.
