Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Geography teacher to join our team at a successful 11-16 academy in south Manchester. This is a full-time supply teaching role, commencing in September 2024.

The Role

As a Geography teacher, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding lessons in key stage 3 and GCSE Geography. You will also be expected to possess calm and confident behavior management skills, with a focus on Assessment for Learning.

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students in key stage 3 and GCSE Geography
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans to meet the changing needs of students
  • Utilize Assessment for Learning strategies to enhance student progress and achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements
  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS
  • Recent experience of teaching key stage 3 geography
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional references
  • Provide a CV with full employment/education history
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK with no restrictions
