Environmental Consultant/Advisor

Culture Guru is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Consultant/Advisor to join our prestigious property development business. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for overseeing environmental and resource management at various project sites, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and our company's standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate adherence to our internal environmental management system and prepare detailed reports on environmental performance.
  • Ensure that all required permits and licenses are obtained to comply with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data on waste quantities and utility consumption to assess progress toward sustainability objectives.
  • Collaborate with construction project teams to enhance site performance by advising and supporting site champions, developing guidance documents, and meeting with project teams to discuss results.
  • Contribute to the broader Divisional sustainability team to promote best practices and fulfill commitments.
  • Stay informed about new environmental laws and best practice guidelines, and assess their potential impact on the company or project.
  • Take a proactive approach to improving performance and fostering innovation by engaging with the management team and all employees.
  • Increase awareness of environmental management by providing both formal and informal training to project teams.

Requirements:

  • Background in the construction industry or environmental management, with a relevant degree.
  • Familiarity and experience with key areas such as energy efficiency, waste and resource management, and environmental oversight.
  • Understanding of environmental challenges specific to the construction and housebuilding sectors.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and management.
