SEND Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a good Primary school in Oldbury.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with pupils with special educational needs, particularly those with SEMH and Mild Learning Difficulties. You will be responsible for assisting the teacher with classroom preparation, leading group work, and providing one-to-one support to students who require additional help.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher with classroom preparation and planning
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Lead group work and activities to support student learning
  • Help the class teacher with pupil observations and assessments

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Children's Learning and Development or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with children with SEND
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
