About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Ernest Gordon Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and integrating Ex certified components into industrial materials handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and integrate Ex certified components into industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with ATEX and IEC Ex standards.
  • Create detailed project specifications, AutoCAD drawings, and manage the integration of complex electrical systems within space-constrained environments.
  • Develop and implement electrical system designs and enclosure layouts using AutoCAD, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address electrical and mechanical system integration challenges.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in designing electrical systems, including experience with Ex certified components.
  • Strong understanding of ATEX, Ex, and IEC Ex safety standards and compliance.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic control systems, including AC inverters, industrial controllers.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
