As an Employment Services Team Supervisor, you will lead a dedicated group of Employment Specialists across various regions, ensuring the delivery of exceptional support to individuals with mental health challenges. Your role will encompass providing guidance, training, and effective management of caseloads, while embodying the principles of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.
This supervisory position is crucial in maintaining a high-quality service that aligns with established fidelity standards, ultimately resulting in positive employment outcomes for clients.
You will also engage directly with clients who face substance use challenges and are currently unemployed, assisting them in achieving sustainable employment that aligns with their aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
The Employment Services Team Supervisor will:
- Oversee the development and enhancement of employment services within designated areas, adhering to evidence-based IPS practices.
- Supervise a team of Employment Specialists while managing a small caseload to facilitate competitive job placements.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including clinical teams and local employers, to effectively tap into the hidden job market.
- Lead initiatives to ensure Employment Specialists engage in meaningful interactions with employers to secure suitable job matches.
- Mentor and coach team members to implement effective employment engagement strategies.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Significant experience working with individuals facing mental health or substance use challenges.
- Proven track record in assisting individuals in securing and maintaining employment.
- Experience in collaborative work within multi-agency frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and coaching.
Skills and Attributes
Essential:
- Comprehensive understanding of the IPS model and its application.
- Ability to provide insightful support to care coordinators regarding employment needs.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capacity to build effective relationships with clients, employers, and other agencies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with the Disability Discrimination Act.
