About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team in the North East region. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and supervision to foster families, ensuring the best possible outcomes for looked-after children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular supervision and support to foster families, promoting positive relationships and outcomes for children.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and reviews of foster placements, ensuring compliance with national minimum standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans for foster families, addressing complex needs and promoting positive development.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and educators, to ensure comprehensive support for children and families.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in fostering and social work.
Requirements
  • Post-qualifying experience in fostering or family placements, with a proven track record of supporting complex needs.
  • Up-to-date registration with Social Work England and a relevant social work qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with foster families and other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficient in using electronic records systems and IT, including virtual meetings and webinars.
