Our client, a leading global sustainable energy firm, is seeking a skilled Category Manager to join their procurement team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the Professional Services and Engineering categories within indirect procurement, driving cost savings and optimizing services.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with experience in managing categories across multiple geographies. You will be responsible for end-to-end strategic sourcing, tender management, negotiation, and contract management. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal functions and develop, negotiate, and performance manage contracts with strategic suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Professional Services and Engineering categories within indirect procurement
- Drive cost savings and optimize services
- Develop, negotiate, and performance manage contracts with strategic suppliers
- Collaborate with internal functions to achieve business objectives
Requirements:
- Strong functional procurement experience managing categories across multiple geographies
- Experience working with Professional Services and Engineering categories to drive cost savings and optimize services
- Good commercial acumen and understanding of the business context
- Experience working in the energy sector is preferable
- Experience using SAP, Ariba would be preferable
