Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of a busy asphalt production facility and associated quarry.

  • Oversee the operation of both fixed and mobile production equipment.
  • Utilize various computer systems, including spreadsheet applications, for operational management.
  • Conduct routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks, collaborating with the maintenance team.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among team members.
  • Supervise a team of Operators and Maintenance Personnel across the facility.
  • Be prepared for regular weekend shifts as part of operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Plant Supervisors to maintain optimal production levels in alignment with manufacturing schedules.

The Ideal Candidate
To excel in the role of Asphalt Operations Manager, candidates should ideally possess:

  • Previous experience in asphalt production or the quarrying sector, though comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Operational experience with loading shovels and processing equipment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
  • Proficiency in IT, including the Microsoft Office suite and internal CRM systems.
