Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled International Senior Indirect Tax Analyst to join our team at Axon. As a key member of our global tax team, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely compliance with international indirect tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our tax engine, quoting and billing tool, and GL system to confirm appropriate VAT/GST tax treatment of foreign entity invoices.
  • Analyze and summarize information on a monthly and quarterly basis to support foreign VAT/GST return preparation.
  • Review returns prepared by consultants and ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Update and maintain tax codes for new and existing products.
  • Oversee VAT/GST tax payment process for global entities.
  • Manage VAT/GST related balance sheet accounts on our GL, including month-end close procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee governmental and company-related VAT/GST audits.
  • Maintain the foreign indirect tax calendar/task matrix for all foreign compliance duties and deadlines.
  • Assist with indirect tax registrations in relevant tax jurisdictions.
  • Proactively monitor and operate a robust internal control tax environment in compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Assist with tax logic, create test scenarios, and work with the team on system upgrades and new feature implementation.
  • Respond to questions and issues from business units and functional groups.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships outside the finance organization.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business or Financial Accounting, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or country equivalent designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in the tax accounting profession, with some portion in global indirect tax.
  • Significant experience in the preparation of VAT/GST returns.
  • Experience with automation tools.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneur spirit.
  • Concern for quality and deadlines.
  • Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
