Job Title: Project Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Project Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day support to the Project Leader, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Project Leader, including preparing reports and metrics to identify and communicate trends to peers and senior management.
  • Identify and manage risks, quality, and scope issues, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor cost and quality delivery to the project, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including work packs and enablement of work packages for execution by the Operations organisation.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Mentor junior members of the team, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

Requirements:

  • Experience within a project management environment, with a strong understanding of project coordination principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
  • Recognized project management qualification (e.g. APMQ or Prince2) is desirable.
