We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a Senior Risk Management Associate to join our dynamic and expanding Defence team. We are in search of a highly skilled Risk Manager, preferably with Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) experience, to contribute to our projects across various sectors.
This role is ideal for a Risk Manager with experience in Project or Programme delivery within the rail, aviation, water, utilities, highways, defence, or nuclear sectors. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of the relevant processes and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of risks, opportunities, and issues within the sub-programme.
- Maintain awareness of risk trigger points to support effective risk cost profiling and budget management.
- Utilize risk data to guide investment planning and business case development.
- Assist in identifying and documenting measurable management responses, while evaluating post-mitigation scenarios.
- Monitor overall risk exposure against the available risk contingency or budget.
- Proactively oversee the completion of management responses to achieve targeted outcomes.
- Collaborate with contractors to evaluate risks held by them and their perspectives on client-held risks.
- Generate timely risk reports to facilitate effective communication regarding risk status.
- Conduct quantitative risk assessments (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency levels.
- Demonstrate proficiency with tools such as PRA, @risk, Safran, or similar risk management software.
- Familiarity with web-based database tools such as ARM, Predict, Risk Hive, Tableau, and Power BI is advantageous.
Additionally, candidates should possess exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate a commitment to innovative and efficient working practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a risk management role on significant infrastructure projects/programmes is essential.
- APM/IRM/MoR risk certification is preferred.
Important Note: Due to the sensitive nature of our projects, candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain UK MoD security clearance.
