This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Paediatric Emergency Department team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Paediatric Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
About the RoleAs a Paediatric Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care for children and young people. You will work closely with the Paediatric team to maintain accountability for patient care, communicating effectively with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programmes of care for children and young people
- Work collaboratively with the Paediatric team to maintain accountability for patient care
- Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
- Provide supervision, support, and education to unqualified staff and students
- Embrace new ways of working and speak up when concerns arise
We are looking for a Registered RNC on sub part 1 of the professional NMC register, with a specific interest in children and young people nursing. Experience of working within a Paediatric department is essential, and experience of working on a Paediatric ward is desirable.
